When I see birches bend to left and right…I like to think some boy's been swinging from them. -Robert Frost

Why don’t people see killing an animal as violence…

on 9 December, 2006

and why must Christians be the one to justify this with how they interpret scripture.

I just want to let you know if you are reading this and you are not a Christian that we do not all believe this. Killing an animal and using it for your own personal uses is violent. They still feel it. Don’t people get that. They have to sit there while you put the milking equipment on. They have to say goodbye to their babies. They have to be prodded and slit. It’s so sad to me. There is so no way to humanely raise an animal for death.

Violence is pain against another being. It has nothing to do with how you interpret it. It has nothing to do with being more or less violent. It is violence. You cannot eat those objects without consuming violence with every bite.
